Our Comfort Kits are designed for older cancer patients, aged 65+, who may have different needs to younger people undergoing treatment.
Comfort Kits contain items that provide warmth and comfort, such as heat pads to ease aches that may come as a result of treatment, and a travel pillow to make spells in hospital that bit easier. See below for an outline of what’s included in each Kit.
Magnifying Glass
The small print on labels can be difficult to read, so the included magnifying glass ensures labels and instructions are easier to read.
Inflatable Travel Pillow
This is included to aid rest and sleep if enduring spells in the hospital.
Notebook and Pen
Keeping track of hospital visits and doctors appointments can be a challenge, so a small notebook and pen are just what’s needed to keep on top of it all.
Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel
During treatment, immune systems can be weakened, so taking steps to kill germs is important.
Packet of Tissues
Cancer treatment can be emotionally draining. A packet of tissues is included for when times are tough for patients and their families.
Microwaveable Hot Pack
Cancer treatment and long hospital stays can leave you with aches and pains. This microwaveable hot pack can be heated up to keep you toasty warm and relaxed, wherever you are. (Your kit will either contain this hot pack or the microwaveable bottle, see above).
Sherbet Lemon Sweets
People undergoing chemotherapy treatment often experience a dry mouth and an unpleasant metallic taste, and these are a popular way to alleviate this symptom.
Thick, Toasty Warm Socks
People undergoing treatment can experience very cold extremities. These thick, soft bed socks are included to warm them up, and make them feel more cosy and comfortable.
Nausea Relief Wrist Bands
These comfortable wrist bands are clinically proven to relieve nausea and motion sickness which can be a side-effect of cancer treatment.
Canvas Drawstring Bag
All items arrive in a handy drawstring bag, which is perfect for carrying all the essentials.
