Thanks to your support we are making a real impact

We are delighted to publish our Impact Report for the year 2025.

Thanks to the support of our amazing donors, we were able to deliver 1,353 Cancer Kits to individuals undergoing cancer treatment and to comfort 1,545 children with Kids Kits and ‘Cuddles for Christmas’ bears.

We were also able to expand our  Cancer Coach service, providing vital emotional support to 1,611 people having a tough time after treatment had finished.

We recognise that a cancer diagnosis can be a long and challenging journey, often continuing well beyond physical treatment.

We are incredibly proud of the work our specialist coaches are doing to train individuals across a wide range of organisations. In 2025 alone, we reached organisations representing over 100,000 employees helping to tackle the stigma surrounding cancer, which can leave people feeling isolated, alone, and emotionally exhausted.

All of our work is driven by the experiences of people like Sharon.

Sharon’s Story

Sharon was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in November 2020.
‘I was determined to make light of it, both to myself and my family,’ she says, ‘to stress that I would get through it.’ But in her less positive moments, Sharon felt numb, anxious and stressed.

The chemotherapy was particularly hard, especially the week after each infusion, when she felt wiped out and in considerable pain.

For Sharon, the most difficult aspect of treatment was losing all the hair on her body. ‘It made me so easily identifiable as a cancer patient,’ she says. ‘But I bought some pretty hats and when my hair grew back, I loved the curls!’

When she signed up for the Cancer Coach group in 2022, Sharon believed that she was clear of cancer. It was good to meet the other participants, all of whom had been on a treatment journey like her. Hearing their experiences helped Sharon process her own, and they stayed connected after the course finished.

Sharon recommends Cancer Coach, which helped support her after her first round of treatment.

‘I think most cancer patients fear a recurrence, and that dread is something that they experience throughout their journey. I have learnt a lot about how to support myself through this, and how to deal with the fear.’

Your Support Makes a Big Difference

We are so grateful to all our supporters who have helped us over the last year.

But there is still so much more to do. With the latest research showing 403,000 new cancer diagnoses each year, the demand for our services continues to grow.

If you can, please consider making a donation today.

Your gift could provide vital emotional support when treatment ends, a comfort kit when it’s needed most, and greater understanding in workplaces across the UK.

Thank you so much for being part of our mission to create a kinder world for people living with and beyond cancer.

Compassion. Comfort. Connection.
