Communicating About Cancer Workshop
Suitable for line-managers or colleagues of people living with or beyond cancer, the Communicating About Cancer Workshop is designed to increase knowledge of cancer, cancer types, treatments and side effects. It will give a deeper understanding of the emotional impact of cancer, as well as the physical effects. The training addresses common fears around having difficult conversations about cancer and provides participants with confidence-giving cancer-specific tools and skills to enable more supportive discussions.

- Types of cancer and treatments
- Physical and emotional side effects
- Communication skills and the importance of language
(what’s helpful to say and what’s not so helpful). - Self-care (looking after your own emotional wellbeing)
