We are delighted to announce that Nancy Priston is our new Cancer Support UK Health Ambassador.

Nancy’s association with Cancer Support UK began in July 2022, when she volunteered to lead our hugely successful Sh’bamathon, which raised considerable funds for the charity. A second Sh’bamathon fundraiser event is now being planned for 2023.

Nancy will work with Cancer Support UK by sharing her expertise through a new digital health column, which will be aimed at supporting those who have received a cancer diagnosis and who are interested in becoming healthier and fitter.

After starting life as a University lecturer and researcher, Nancy embarked on her own personal journey of fitness and health that led her to a full-time career in the fitness industry. Nancy has actively fundraised for a variety of charities over the years.

Whether leading fitness classes or working closely with individuals as a personal trainer, Nancy’s approach and understanding of improving health and fitness by supporting both physical and emotional needs resonates with Cancer Support UK’s ethos and services.

“We are so grateful that Nancy has agreed to accept our invitation to become an Ambassador for Cancer Support UK. Her energy, enthusiasm and passion for helping people, together with her expertise in health and fitness, are exactly the qualities we are looking for in our Ambassadors. Nancy will provide our charity with invaluable support and is the ideal partner for us to work with,” said Cancer Support UK CEO Mark Guymer.

Nancy Priston said: “I was thrilled when I was asked if I would become an Ambassador for Cancer Support UK. I was already aware of the vital work the charity performs supporting people during and after cancer treatment and I was excited to work with them for the Sh’bamathon. I am looking forward to being able to support such an important cause further moving forward.”
