If I make a donation, how will my donation help?

Donations and gifts make up 100% of our income, so any donation made is vital to keeping our services running.

Can I choose what you spend my donation on?

We use all donations where the need is greatest, but if you would like your donation to be used for a specific programme, please let us know when you donate.

Can I donate in memory of a friend or family member?

Of course. Donating in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to both celebrate their life and help us to continue our work supporting people with cancer. If you would like to donate in memory of a loved one, please include their name and yours so we can say thank you. We use all donations where the need is greatest, but if you would like your donation to be used for a specific programme, then please let us know.

I’d like to fundraise for Cancer Support UK - how can I get involved?

That’s brilliant that you want to fundraise for us! Whether you want to hold a bake sale or run a marathon, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us in our London office on 020 3983 7616 if you need any assistance.

Can you claim Gift Aid on my donation?

Gift Aid makes your donations go further. If you are donating as a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your charity donations by 25% because we can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your donation at no extra cost to you.

What address should I send a cheque to?

Please make all cheques payable to ‘Cancer Support UK’ and send to:

Cancer Support UK
The Old Church

How can I leave a gift in my will?

Leaving a gift in your will is a wonderful way to ensure we can continue supporting people with cancer. You will need to ensure that you include our full charity information when leaving a gift in your will [below]. A solicitor can help you to make changes to your will, it is advised that you do not attempt to do it manually yourself, as this can render your existing will invalid if done incorrectly. We use all gifts where the need is greatest, but if you would like your gift to be used for a specific programme, then please let us know.
