Lisa Dawson

Lisa Dawson is an interior and lifestyle writer and author, workshop presenter and content creator with a background in fashion and homewares retail. In 2016 Lisa began writing her award winning weekly blog based on styling your home and published her first book, Resourceful Living, in 2021.  Previously interior columnist for Real Homes magazine, she talks regularly on panels, contributes to media publications and has presented interior workshops across the country.

Lisa lives in York with her husband and three children.

In 2012, when she was 41, Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer. She believes passionately in the importance of early diagnosis, which improves the chances of successful treatment. Because of her own experience, she regularly uses her social media platforms to encourage women to check their breasts regularly and, if they spot any suspicious changes or irregularities, to make an appointment with their GP promptly.

In May 2024 Lisa became an ambassador for Cancer Support UK, to help champion the need for better emotional support for people living with and beyond cancer and to address the stigma of cancer.
