Influence the development of a new Cancer Kit
Cancer Support UK provides practical and emotional support to people living with cancer, both during and after the treatment period. We support people with all kinds of cancer across the UK, and our services have been developed by people who have cancer. We believe people with cancer know what’s best for them.
Cancer Support UK currently provides three types of Cancer Kit to people undergoing cancer treatment.
- Cancer Kit – our general Cancer Kits are designed to help adults who are not receiving chemotherapy but are undergoing another form of cancer treatment.
- Chemo Kit – Our Chemo Kits are designed specifically to help people undergoing chemotherapy.
- Kids’ Kit – Our Kids’ Kits are designed to brighten the days of children living with cancer and undergoing treatment.
We are committed to sending Cancer Kits out free of charge, always, to people who need them – irrespective of their finances. We’re here For As Long As It Takes.
Our original Kits have been developed by people who have had cancer themselves, ensuring each item is genuinely useful. They include items to offset some of the unpleasant side effects of treatment. Ginger tea to help with nausea, for example, or lavender spray to aid sleep and rest, an eye mask to block out light on a cancer ward, lemon sherbets to counteract the metallic taste often experienced when undergoing chemotherapy, and much more.
In 2021, we are hoping to launch a new type of Kit that is genuinely useful for people with cancer. By providing your views below, you will be helping us to develop it.
