Thanks to you 1,200 teds were delivered to hospital beds!

We are overwhelmed by the support you have given children with cancer at Christmas.

Zak, Nancy, Lucas, Heidi, Bruce and Max send you a very big THANK YOU!

Max’s mum sent us an update which we’d like to share. Max was one of our Christmas superstars last year:

“Max received a bone marrow transplant back in May so we were in Bristol for four months. But we are HOME now and he’s doing well. Long may it continue. He has a long way to go but is doing brilliantly – I’ve attached a photo of him ringing the bell when he was discharged!”

Max received a Cuddle bear last year - it really helped to cheer him up

You also helped us to send 500 Kids Kits to children in hospital. The kits brought a smile to little faces at Christmas – children like Heidi

Heidi’s Story

Heidi was just three years old when she was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in April 2022. Her mum told us she’s a very creative girl, who loves make-up, drawing and dressing up. She also adores dogs and luckily her grandparents have three, which keep her busy on the days she gets to visit.

Heidi is currently in the maintenance part of her treatment, which means weekly visits to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, where she has blood tests and receives chemotherapy.

“Cancer Support UK’s Kid’s Kit has helped greatly in keeping Heidi entertained. She loves to draw in the notebook from the kit and she is getting really good at doing tricks with the yo-yo. The cosy Minion socks and the cuddly Warmies bear have been a real treat for when she is having a hospital stay, as they help to keep her nice and cosy.”
