Linda skydives in memory of her dad Bobby, for CSUK

Linda Brack tells us her story of why she skydived for Cancer Support UK on 26th May 2018 in Lancaster. She has so far raised £715.50. You can still support her here:

  • Why did you choose to Skydive for Cancer Support UK

The reason I did a skydive for Cancer Support UK was because my dad passed away on the 1st of Jan this year with an unknown primary cancer which had spread to his liver. He had only been diagnosed 6 months earlier and during those 6 months unfortunately I felt there wasn’t enough support out there, not just for my dad but for us as a family.

  • What did you do to overshoot your fundraising target?

To overshoot my target I asked a lot of friends to ask friends, family members and a lot of support came from my place of work. Spanset who I work for, gave a large sum.

  • How did you feel on the day?

On the the day of the jump I was so nervous to the point I was emotional and wanted to back out but I really didn’t want to let anybody down especially my dad. I’m so glad that I didn’t back out because it was amazing and loved every second of it. I’m even considering doing another one!

  • 3 words to sum up the experience?

Brilliant , Amazing and possibly Addictive!
