Bruce’s Story
Bruce was diagnosed with Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) in July 2022. At just two years old his world was turned upside down.
Bruce was a healthy, happy and energetic little boy who loved spending time at home on the farm and playing football with his brothers. Unfortunately Bruce’s disease was extremely aggressive and entailed an intense chemotherapy regime.
Bruce has spent many weeks in hospital needing treatment as well as early morning trips to appointments for scans and tests. One constant he’s had in his life is his love for teddies.
When Bruce received his special Cuddles bear he named him Johnny. The bear now goes everywhere with Bruce as his warm comforting hugs are a comfort to Bruce to snuggle with him during all his gruelling treatments.
The lavender scent aids with his sleep which has been disturbed whilst staying in hospital, and when he has a sore tummy the bear can be popped into the microwave for a warm hug.
If you can, please reach out to another child like Bruce so we can send them a warm cuddle this Christmas.
